Environmental Impact Studies

An Environmental Impact Study (EIS) is a systematic, integrated and participatory approach designed to ensure projects are economically, socially and environmentally sustainable. In general, significant developments must conduct a thorough EIA before permits or approvals to proceed can be considered.

With years of experience across many different industry sectors, our team of environmental scientists and engineers can help a project:

  • Review all relevant air quality regulations and policy guidelines to determine impacts on human health and environment
  • Evaluate baseline environmental conditions (e.g. existing airshed and air quality conditions) in order to set benchmarks to assess potential changes
  • Assess critical activities both at the construction and operational phases e.g. characterise the amount of dust, odour and vehicular emissions expected to be generated
  • Assess the residual impacts of a project, and identify the most practical, economical and environmentally-friendly approach by comparing alternatives
  • Identify and predict the air quality impact on sensitive receptors using best practice tools and methods
  • Identify and propose measures to manage or mitigate impacts from identified emissions
  • Develop air quality management plans to achieve ongoing long term compliance.
