Geordie Galvin, an odour assessment specialist with PAEHolmes, has been invited onto the planning committee for a specialist odour workshop attached to the WEF/A&WMA conference ‘Odors and Air Pollutants 2010’ in Charlotte, North Carolina. Geordie will also present a technical paper on “Improvements in Odor Modelling Using Non-Steady-State Models and More Realistic Source Physics” that he is preparing jointly with other PAEHolmes staff.
Geordie has past odour research connections with US universities involved in agricultural odour problems, and maintains active contacts among US odour researchers and consultants, where Australian expertise is well accepted.
At the 2008 WEF/A&WMA odour conference in Phoenix (Arizona), Robin Ormerod, a founder of PAEHolmes, was an invited workshop panellist on international developments in odour assessment along with a Canadian consultant and Ton Van Harreveld, a leading European odour specialist who also sits on our Technical Advisory Board.
